About Me

"Choose a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life"

This Confucius quote, already borrowed by John Lasseter (Pixar) fully expresses my life and the way I decided to follow (although there's nothing to choose when you have a so strong passion). That's how I became an Animator.
For those people that don't know nothing about this job and after the question "What's your job?" and my answer "I'm an animator"… immediately think to the animators of tourist camp ... I'll explain briefly what is my job (which has NOTHING to do with the tourist villages ^^)

What does a Cartoon Animator do?
Being a Character Animator means "bringing to life" a fictional characters, in my case created in computer graphics. My job is to move and let speak these characters, in practice, I make them play as "actors" and give the illusion that this characters are alive.

How I discovered the Animation World?
It was a very natural path. Since I was a child I always felt the need to vent my good dose of creativity. I drew comics and wrote screenplays until high school, when I discovered a great passion for the cinema. At 19 years old I try to apply for a course of Director at the Experimental Film Centre in Rome, but I was too young for that course, but I heard that the same school had a new course in Turin, a course for "CHARACTER ANIMATION ", subject totally unknown for me until that moment. I won the selection of the lucky 16 students of the academy triennium 2004/2006 :) In those 3 years I discovered this wonderful world and I'll be eternally grateful to all the situations of my life that allowed me to get this far.
